TIK-Radiodays

7-10th of February in progressbar, Bratislava, Cukrova 14;

daily from 11:00 – 18:00

COL-ME invites within the frame of the TIK project (Time Inventors' Kabinet) for a workshop on radio and technical aspects of radio. Within four days we will explore technical aspects of making radio in various ways. From transmitting technology to networking technology we will dive into various technical aspects of making radio.

The workshop will not have a 'classical' form in the form of frontal teaching, but rather an open form, where people can formulate and realize ideas within a group of technically interested people.

Our special guests for this workshop are Ushi Reiter from servus.at, Linz, Austria and Kruno Jost from UKE, Croatia, who will come with concrete projects.

An evening with presentations will take place on the 10th of February, where Ushi Reiter presents servus.at and Kitchen Budapest, who will talk about their lab. There will also be a presentation of the workshop achievements.

The workshop and lectures will take place in English language and are free of charge. For the workshop please register at: callme (AT) col-me (DOT) info

TIK-Radiodays

14-18th of March in progressbar, Bratislava, Cukrova 14;

daily from 11:00 – 18:00

COL-ME invites for the second workshop dealing with radio within the frame of the TIK project (Time Inventors' Kabinet). This time we will work towards a radio broadcast, which will be the outcome end of the week. Throughout these days we will explore content of TIK and ecologies and work with devices, that we built and/or experienced during the first workshop in February. Time and ecologies are the topics, that we are going to aim at and which will be the content of our broadcast.

We will explore various ideas, like the TimeBendingClock, browse through the history of arts and cultures and its relation to time, and ponder about the philosophical questions lying behind these topics. All this we will express through recordings and sounds, which in the end will be merged into one radio piece for the radia art radio network.

Special guests for this workshop are Dr. Verena Kuni from the Goethe Universitaet Frankfurt and Nina Czegledy.

A public lecture from Dr. Verena Kuni about the TimeBendingClock and its connection to ghosts and mystical phenomena and a lecture from Kruno Jost about radio networks in Croatia will take place on the on the 18th of March. A public hearing of the produced radio broadcast later that evening will close the event.

The workshop and lectures will take place in English language and are free of charge. For the workshop please register at: callme (AT) col-me (DOT) info
